Introduction

Well as a introduction to this build, I went to insure my Clio with a few modification and as usual the insurance company didn’t like me and quoted me £3000 with modification but £2000 without modifications so I thought I should leave its standard and get something to cure the inch to tinker and modify, so after some thinking I though why not a air cooled beetle the electrics won’t be too hard, I can spray remotely good and I’m sure I can pick up the hand of welding also with choosing a classic beetle is that there is a massive ‘Dub’ scene and parts are very widely available so it won’t be too hard to find the bits that I need for the car.

So the first thing I am trying to get is a pre 1973 beetle so that it will remain tax free, there are many years of beetle but the older you get the more expensive they become so y budget will only get me ‘gt’ ‘1302s’or a ‘1303s’ I quite like the fact they they have struts and disc brakes

To make the build alot more readable I have split it into section so if you want to see a certain part of the build you can just click the link.
